OBJECTIVE 1: CTSU PROTOCOLS

Since its inception, the CTSU has offered Phase 3 Cooperative Group cancer treatment trials for adults. The menu has expanded to include NCI-sponsored protocols developed outside of the Cooperative Group system. For example, international collaborations with Groups such as the International Breast Cancer Study Group (IBCSG) have been added to the menu at the discretion of the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP). The CTSU also works closely with regulatory staff at the National Cancer Institute of Canada Clinical Trials Group to open CTSU menu trials to the CTSU sites in Canada.

Protocols involve the following disease sites:

CTSU Phase 3 Treatment Trials
Breast
Lung
Gastrointestinal
Lymphoma
Genitourinary
Melanoma
Gynecological Multiple Myeloma
Head and Neck Sarcoma
Leukemia

You can search a listing of all active CTSU menu trials from the public web site homepage (right side of the page under 'CTSU Protocols'). This listing contains links and documents that provide general information about each study.

An additional resource is the "CTSU Active Protocol List and Accrual Report", which lists all active studies as well as accrual targets and enrollments-to-date. This report can be found on the public web site homepage (right side of the page under 'Reports'). It can be also found on the members' web site under the 'Protocols' tab and then under 'Reports'. The members' version is more robust in that it can be run to include closed studies as well as those under development.

Protocol documents themselves, with all supporting materials, are located on the members' web site under the 'Protocols' tab.
